This is for the screenwriters, filmmakers, videophiles and independant producers out there that made a myspace page and built it up, only to find out that they can't change it over to being a filmmaker without making a new account, with a new e-mail address and of course, trying to reacquire all their friends....talk about to much work...

So Tom posted this in the "filmmakers sign up is live" thread but it gets buried sa more and more people post....

Well, here you go, one perfect way to convert your profile over, and not lose anything from the profile you already have, which means all your work has not gone to waste...

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You will be asked to login to MySpace, then asked about if you want to do the conversion. Once done, you will have the filmmakers banner on your page and the ability to "manage films" in your "edit profile" section.

disclaimor: all this rests on the MySpace server site, I am only providing the link. If this does not work, the problem is with MySpace and their servers, not my site. If it doesn't work, there will be no effect to your profile, you will just get an "unexpected URL" error. Again, this is a MySpace thing....just be patient and try back later, its the load on their servers causing the problem.

Why should you do it? Easy enough...because it labels your profile as a filmmaker and allows you to be searched for easier by people....

And in this business, its all about exposure and networking...

make sure you are logged into myspace.com and remember you cannot reverse this
